MATTERS ARISING.
Report of "Open Evening" working party. The Chairman and Sec. outlined the discussion at the W/P. John R asked that HCC be sent a formal
invitation.
Members asked that we have a recruitment poster for new members and a signing in station at the Open Evening. Consider having a display for
promoting a PEAP in Sawbridgeworth with photos to encourage someone to
take it on.
David T was asked if we could put an advertising page on EHDC web site.
Update A5 Flier to put in letterboxes and strategic places: David T said he could help with printing.
The Sec. was asked to investigate a Sawbridgeworth commemorative plate for the raffle and see if the Vice Chairman of EHDC would donate a
plant for the raffle. It was suggested we have the A5 flier printed on
reverse of posters for distribution.Quiz. The prizes were agreed for the quiz competition and the names of
the winners will be announced at the Open Evening.
Missing Geese. Carol Bartlett informed the Sec. that the geese had gone missing from Sheering Lock, Burt P said he had seed them at the Station
Bridge the Sunday before-2nd September.
This led to a discussion on Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and the need for members to pass locations of important trees to the Sec. Diana R
pointed out the Ginkgo tree behind the wall that has the inset bus stop
opposite the White Lion.
Land at Station. Farmer Mynott has cut the water meadow West of the Railway Station and is understood to want to spray for noxious weeds.
Members asked who owns the land and could EA and EHDC investigate the present activities.

for a By-pass.
